A KANSAS STORM

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak;

and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

My doctrine shall drop as the rain,

my speech shall distil as the dew,

as the small rain upon the tender herb,

and as the showers upon the grass:

Because I will publish the name of the Lord:

ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect:

for all his ways are judgment:

a God of truth and without iniquity,

just and right is he.

DEUTERONOMY 32: 1-4

READY, WILLING, & ABLE…..

My son Taylor and I did a first this year-shootin bear, with a canon of course. We initially planned our Alaska journey to photograph Moose in rut, fall colors, and anything else that got in our way. Taylor had his heart set on finding some bear. I was a little reluctant- not wanting to get eaten getting a killer photo. We did some research and found that a bear excursion was not as forboding as i imagined. It did’nt help that I had just watched “The Edge” with Anthony Hopkins.We decided on Silver Salmon Creek Lodge at Lake Clark. WOW! What an awesome experience. I’m sure this is the first of many future “bear trips”. They pretty much keet to their salmon fishing while we did our thing. We had a great guide-Jenny. She kept us out of trouble and made sure the bears kept their distance. We spent a day and a halh shooting and came away with 6000 photos. Unbelievable!
