I was born at a very early age. My dad encouraged me early on to give my life to things I loved and had passion for and not to be obsessed with making the big bucks. Remember....when the Hurst pulls up there won't be a u-haul behind it. Thank GOD I listened and followed through with his advice. How many people do you know who can't stand what they do? I've loved pretty much everything I've been involved in. God blessed me with an artistic mind and a passion for adventure and the outdoors. Life is full of awesome opportunities if you see them and aren't afraid to step out in faith.

My degree is in psychology with interests in history, anthropology, and art. Given another year in school i probably could have had four or five minors. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I grew up and I'm still giving it a lot of thought. Graduating from WSU in 1973 I searched for that "perfect job" in my field but never found one that made me want to bark at the moon. Don't give up. Eager to make a living, I took a job selling carpet to builders out of the trunk of my car. I loved it! I loved the freedom, adventure, and the people. In 1980, my wife Judy and I opened our own design business and furniture store employing up to 35 people. We spent 28 years making homes and businesses beautiful. Our current business is Dock 410, a warehouse marketplace. We sell cool stuff....furniture, accessories, bronzes, area rugs, prints, architectural, antiques, and of course our groovy photos. Our 8000 square foot warehouse is stuffed to the 30 foot roof. We’ve been totally blessed beyond measure. Thank you God.

I've had a camera in my hand since high school and have always loved creating through a lens. Photography’s been a lifelong passion of mine but never, until now, more than an expensive hobby. Three years ago a client asked me to find some "Kansas Art" for their new facility. We used all kinds of art through the years in designing interiors and have many great resources available to us but "Kansas" scenes were not easy to find. Very seldom have we used my personal photos as a resource for design jobs but decided to see if I had anything that would work for this job. We hit pay dirt! They loved my photos but were requesting scenes I didn’t have. I grabbed my cameras and started shooting anything and everything Kansas. Sunsets, sunrises, birds, windmills, farms, landscapes and just about everything else under the sun.

My love for photography has been reborn and i now see it as more than a hobby and pastime but as a blessing where I can share a glimpse of Gods creation with others and a great business opportunity. What a joy to be able to photograph things I love and share them with others or to photograph for others the things they love. With my interior design background, business knowledge, and passion I see this as a win win situation. On top of that my 23 year old son Taylor wants to pursue a photography career so this will be an opportunity to share this with him. He's on fire as well and a fantastic photographer and editor. It feels like I'm going through another change and it feels good.

Life is good!
My faith in Jesus Christ as my lord and savior is the cornerstone of my life and these gifts of photography I’ve been blessed with I give back to him for his glory to reveal the creator through his beautiful creation.
